The doctor
Dr Maurizio Della Sala
An ophthalmologist with a long hospital career in Friuli, he takes part in POLISMedica's Social Medicine project, devoting specific days and times to reduced-fee examinations at our Portogruaro centre.
He trained entirely in the Ophthalmology Department of Udine's Civil Hospital, where in 1997 he became head physician. From 1997 to 2007 he organised the outpatient and emergency eye services for the health authority. He has served as court-appointed expert for the Court of Udine and today works with accredited outpatient clinics in the provinces of Udine and Pordenone.
